Three Trees Retreat
Spiritual Counseling

Without spiritual counseling, you may not be sure which direction to take. You may feel a void in your life. You may be willing to work hard to fill that void, and to return to a place of glowing physical health and easy, peaceful joy. However, without spiritual counseling, you may not know how to begin. Counseling helps point us toward the light. We still need to make the journey ourselves, but at least we know we are heading in the right direction.

Spiritual Counseling, Without and Within
There are two places to seek spiritual counseling, and each of them is very important. Counsel can be sought in others, or it can be sought from within. We seek counsel from within through prayer and meditation. The more sincere and consistent our prayers and meditations, the wiser the counsel we shall receive.

There are many places to pray and meditate. We may pray in our homes, or in our churches. At Three Trees, we believe that one of the best places to pray is in Nature. Native American spirituality and our own experiences teach us, time and again, that being in Nature helps us to feel as One with the Universe. Modern life can be lonely and isolating. Being out in Nature, surrounded by acres of majestic oak trees and healing eucalyptus, breathing in fresh air and listening to the sounds of forest life, is just the opposite. It makes us feel connected, peaceful, and alive.

When you seek spiritual counsel from others, make sure you choose a loving and well-intentioned guide. They should be serious about their counseling. Jack Cheney, Sequoia and Martin J. Herrera are all guides and healers who have devoted their lives to helping others. To them, it is a sacred mission.
