Ceremonies - Overview

lodgeVISION QUESTS:

For thousands of years different forms of the Vision Quest have been practice by various cultures around the world. In Native American Cultures, the Vision Quest (”literally crying for a vision”) is one of the seven sacred ceremonies. It is a ceremony which enables one to embark on a sacred journey into the depths of spirit and into the heart of mother earth. The power of the vision quest enables one to see life clearly, to face fears, let go of the past, heal and release emotional wounds, move through grief and loss, celebrate the transition into marriage, find work that has more fullfillment and meaning, reconnect with mother earth and to discover a deeper meaning about ones contribution to the community of all life. It is a way to find a new guiding vision for one's life, to let go of outmoded ways of being and open to new beginnings.

If you have a calling to cry for a vision, please contact Sequoia or Jack @ 831-768-7592 or contact us through our web form.

DRUMMING CIRCLES:

The Drum has played a central role in the lives of Native Americans for centuries. The Drum is considered to be the heart beat of the earth mother and is used for prayer and in spiritual ceremonies. The Drum is considered to be an entity onto itself, a living thing in which dwell the spirits of all life. When the drum is struck it calls for the attention of Creator as well as the spirits.

In community drumming circle workshops participatants will learn to feel the drum beat as an extension of their own heart beat and as the heart beat of the sacred earth mother. In so doing we find harmony with all of life.
